About Macclesfield Literary and Philosophical Society

Macclesfield Literary and Philosophical Society was formed in May 2006 with the aim of providing a forum where people can discuss contemporary ideas in a wide range of topics from literature, philosophy, science, and the arts.

We meet in Macclesfield Library eight times a year spread over the Autumn, Winter, and Spring months.

You can come to individual meetings for £5 each (unless the meeting is restricted to members only), or you can join the Society.

18-year olds and under are usually admitted free.
